The public workshops provide an opportunity to gather input from a diverse group of local stakeholders and the public to assist TxDOT in making decisions regarding the federal Funding for the 5310 Program and identify how we can best use our resources to serve the mobility needs of the community. We are seeking the participation of seniors, individuals with disabilities, representatives of public, private, and nonprofit transportation and human service providers, and other members of the public who share TxDOT's goal of improving the local mobility services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Regional public workshops will be held in December 2024 and January 2025. The comment period for the virtual public workshops will close on January 17, 2025. If people have schedule conflicts and can't attend the meeting, we still want their feedback, please encourage them to complete the online survey at their convenience.

EXPANSION OF SERVICE within the City of Stephenville
We are excited to announce the award of an Expansion Grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
In collaboration with Tarleton State University, CARR will begin service to include stops at several apartment complexes located within the City of Stephenville, Tarleton State university Campus, the Ag Farm, H-E-B, and Walmart. Service is open to the general public and Tarleton State University students and faculty.
The goal of the project is to optimize system performance and assist in mitigation of traffic congestion, enhance connectivity and mobility, and improve the reliability of the transportation system. Services will start on August 22, 2024.

City and Rural Rides (CARR) is a rural public transit service operated by Central Texas Rural Transit District (CTRTD). Transportation is available to the general public in our service area. Anyone may schedule a ride to any location in our service area and to limited cities out of our area. CARR can be used for various reasons including shopping, work, beauty shop visits, visiting family or friends, and doctor visits.
